Welcome to the Bennett Family website!

Hello everyone,

My name is Mike Bennett, I live in NJ with my wife Shannon and our son Steven. I have been a private pilot since July of 2002 and am currently working on my instrument rating and Commercial Pilots license. I have 250+ hours of flight time in Cessna 172 and 182 aircraft. Our Photo gallery is an ongoing project; we are constantly adding to it.. The photo gallery is after all what started this site in the first place. Have you ever wondered why we take photos at family events when in many cases we don't get to see them again? By using online photo galleries everyone gets to enjoy the photos and isn't that the point?

Today I built my own web server running fedora Linux OS, Apache web server to host gallery V2.2.3. This will become the new gallery for www.bennettsusa.com it is much faster and since it is hosted out of my home adding photos is a piece of cake. Check it out http://110knots.dyndns.org/gallery2/ besides the obvious learning curve associated with a new OS, the biggest hurtle has been my ISP. TCP port 80 was getting blocked in their network and it took them a few hours to find the glitch.

I am working on a new website www.110knots.com it is a work in progress and it will take some time to get it right. I am building it using Dream-weaver in CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) format. Sounds like fun? Well it is if your idea of fun is breaking things, fixing the broken stuff and breaking it again.

www.bennettsusa.com goes on line for the first time. The original purpose of this site was to provide an easy means of distributing files for both personal and business use. Due to fire wall issues with some users FTP access was not the best solution for me, so I decided to build this website.
